"This is by far the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. It's pathetic how dishonest this place is and at least one of it's employees is. We called and wanted to switch our home and auto insurance and gave all the information needed. We switched our insurance to State Farm only to find out the employee, Heather Winters was not at all truthful, intentional or not. The BS we had to deal with was weeks long and Heather Winters wasn't even professional enough to call to tell us they would not insure our home because it was a modular / manufactured home. Instead, we got an email. We called and asked what the problem was, and she then used the excuse, " you had a claim ". She then proceeds to tell us we would be refunded the " full " amount that we paid for the homeowners because they could not insure the home. I called today to find out why that refund was given, and she decided to tell us, there would be no refund. I have all this recorded and will probably turn it over to the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance along with our complaint. then possibly proceed with an attorney. Everyone should avoid this dishonest company and especially Heather Winters. UPDATE :11-8-2024 - Jeff Herman, the owner of this company called me and we spoke about my experience, possible reason for mix-up and to defend his employee. I have to say he seems like a nice guy and although the conversation was polite, and cordial, I better understand the mix-up and defending an employee. I was still not convinced this was a complete mix-up on the part of the employee. I was told she was a fairly new employee, she may or may not have known certain policies and she was just trying to be helpful, but when you " mis-speak ", mis-lead or don't understand a policy then you ask someone or look at those policies to be better informed. But even if she didn't know, underwriting did and that's where I'm having an issue. There is no plausible reason for mishandling someone or the information so poorly. Some of the things I was told, just doesn't add up to a simple mistake. Then my last email from this employee states something completely different than the previous 2 emails. Which were separately different. And she didn't even have enough common courtesy to call when there was an issue or for any other reason. No matter how I look at it, I was misled and told things that were untrue, but whether it was intentional or not, doesn't really matter. I still had to come out of my pocket for almost triple the amount I originally had to spend for coverage, ONLY because I was given the wrong information, mis-led or someone mis-spoke and then had to rush to get that coverage before it lapsed. If I had more time, I'm sure I could have found a better price. If any other person had the same experience, they would be here posting it as well. I do not own an insurance company and cannot afford multiple down payments for coverage. I was asked to remove my statements about this employee being a liar and a thief, although I feel this was in part intentional, I will remove those words. But at the same time, I think this employee or owner should be in part responsible for the cost of me having to pay out the additional money to get coverage along with the payment to them. This is in fact a business. And when you or your employee causes undue financial harm, whether it's intentional or not, you should be responsible. I hope they do the right thing and will update if needed. UPDATE: My opinion has not changed. After a back and forth conversation with the owner, Jeff Herman I realize no one involved will take responsibility for anything. And The amount of excuses and defense of her incompetence says a lot about the company itself. It's a chain of excuses that normally stops with the person who failed to do their job, but in this case you seem to defend her to no end. No matter what she's done nothing wrong and I should enable her by excusing her failure myself? Even though it cost me 100's of dollars? I still believe I'm owed a refund."

"Editing review for a THIRD and final time. I stick with my one star review. After speaking to Shannon who supposedly fixed everything, she fixed absolutely nothing. She did absolutely nothing in exchange for asking me to change my review on here. I thought she had fixed everything but the next month our bill was back to being $200 more than what was stated when we signed on with them. We canceled everything with them and I very much so discourage you from using these people. I’m not sure how State Farm is overall, but the people at this specific office are very dishonest and I wish I would’ve started recording our phone calls to prove so. Also we cancelled our renters policy before it ever went into effect. Was told by Shannon everything was canceled. Never even received a policy number for the insurance/ never showed up in the app. But we still keep receiving bills from them that are not going to be paid considering we cancelled while it was still pending. Once again just another lie from Shannon."
